Radon Testing
Philip Mason - Certified Radon Technician R2326
If you thought Radon was confined to basements and homes up North, you are in for a big surprise.
High levels of Radon gas are found in 40% of all homes tested in Lee and Collier Counties according to the Florida DOT.
Homes, condos, high rise condos... it does not matter. They all have some level of radon gas.

Radon gas is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can not see, smell or taste. "Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America, claiming about 20,000 lives annually" (EPA).

Gulfshore Home Inspections uses Breeze Radon measurement monitors to get an accurate count of the Radon gas over a 48 hour period. You will know the test results after the 48 hour period.

The only way to know is to test.

Homes with high counts of Radon can be mitigated by installing Radon reduction systems. Gulfshore Home Inspections does not install Radon reduction systems as we consider this a conflict of interest for our clients.

Our inspectors are trained by Florida Department of Health. Our inspectors hold current Florida state Radon licenses and are certified by the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants.
